Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says in His noble book:
The month of Ramadan is that in which the Qur'an was revealed, a guidance to men and clear proofs of the guidance (hudā) and the distinction (furqān); therefore, whoever of you is present in the month, he shall fast therein, and whoever is sick or upon a journey, then (he shall fast) a (like) number of other days; Allah desires ease for you, and He does not desire for you difficulty, and (He desires) that you should complete the number and that you should exalt the greatness of Allah for His having guided you and that you may give thanks.
The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him) related that Allah said, "Fasting is mine and I am the one who gives its reward."
We congratulate the Islamic nation on the advent of the noble month of Ramadan—the month of the nation of the master of mankind, the Messenger of Allah, the Chosen One (Allah bless him and grant him peace); the month of the best nation to emerge from mankind; the month of virtue and blessing; the month of repentance, forgiveness, mercy, and freedom from the Fire of Hell. May Allah the Blessed and Exalted give us success in our standing in prayer and in our fasting in Ramadan; and by His generosity may He accept this from us.
O Allah, unite the hearts of the Muslims and return them to Your dīn in a beautiful way.
O Allah, forgive the nation of our Liege-Lord Muhammad (Allah bless him and grant him peace).
O Allah, be merciful to the nation of our Liege-Lord Muhammad (Allah bless him and grant him peace).
O Allah, be kind to the nation of our Liege-Lord Muhammad (Allah bless him and grant him peace).
O Allah, surely You are forgiving and generous. You love to forgive, so forgive us, O Generous.
